Ok. So in most diets or "Lifestyles" its all about calories, carbs, proteins.. count this count that, eat this, eat that. NO MORE. I am focused on digestion. Maybe not many people WANT to talk about digestion? Whatever, get over it because digestion is the most important function in your body that your decisions affect. Digestion (Or lack there of) had been my problem for the past 4 or 5 years. I became lactose intolerant, always bloated, gained weight and either I couldn't go to the bathroom for a long time or I had to go NOW (as soon as I ate a big meal).

Anytime I went out for dinner, I either got so sick, so bloated and gassy or had to make an emergency stop. WHO, [please tell me] WHO wants to live like that??? Not me. So I've been on a journey for a few years to figure out what I needed to change for my body (or digestive system) to be happy. I tried to go vegan twice before. I felt better, but after a while, I felt even more bloated and gassy [not a pretty feeling, not a pretty sight]. I read online that its because when you are a vegan you are eating SOOO many veggies and beans that all of that fiber causes that nastiness. (I now know thats not necessarily true, so keep reading if this is your problem!)

I [unwillingly] started to eat fish again and sometimes chicken and eggs. When I ate that, I didn't like to eat it. I would cringe on the inside, but I couldn't handle that vegan bloat! Well, it didn't get much better. I tried gluten free, super protein, low carbs, and eating whatever the **** I want. Some made a bit of difference, some didn't, but I never felt AMAZING. I wanted to feel AMAZING. 

So why is digestion SOOO important? Well, your digestive system does a WHOLE lot for your body. It is what clears everything out and absorbs everything you put in. It takes a lot of you body's energy to digest certain foods. Do you get very tired after you eat? Maybe you are feeding your digestive system too much to digest all at once! If you have optimal digestion, your energy will be conserved so that you can go about your day. Your body's energy is taken away from YOU to digest what you just fed it. What you put in, needs to come out.. and not 2 days later. Clear digestion = clear skin. Clear digestion = detoxed body. Clear digestion = energy restored. Clear digestion = one step closer to that flat, sexy stomach!
